Phalloplasty is a medical procedure that essentially constructs a penis and scrotum. The penis is constructed using flaps from the forearm, leg, abdomen, groin, or thigh. The scrotum is constructed from the labia and prosthetic testicles are inserted.

Our patients have experienced good results from this surgery, providing realistic looking male genitalia.

Patients can also enjoy sexual experiences and sensation through their clitoris, which can be repositioned at the base of the penis. Sexual intercourse is possible as well, using some form of internal or external support. Most patients elect to utilize a prosthesis or pump, however some patients have reported the ability to achieve intercourse with no aids other than lubrication.

Some patients opt for clitoral release surgery when they don’t want to have a complete phalloplasty. This surgery is less expensive as well. Clitoral release surgery satisfies most legal, driver’s license, birth certificate, and passport requirements, which need a surgeon’s letter that stating that the person has undergone genital surgery.
